Anyone with a food processor, chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon, olive oil, and whatever else you like to toss in, knows how easy it is to make a batch of hummus. We love it, but I don't take the time to make it as often as Keith would like to enjoy it. Friday, he brought home a big tub of hummus from the co-op. A handy thing, too, since we were too busy with outdoor chores yesterday to do much cooking. Instead we had crudites of broccoli and cauliflower with hummus. Quite yummy.
Last night we had cause to wonder if our menu headliners might be what's behind that little problem at work that I mentioned the other day. Oh, dear.

Yum! I love hummus. Another thing I like to do is take any old can of beans and throw it in the food processor with some olive oil and whatever spices sound good that day with that particular bean. You get some nice spreads, most of the time...:-)

Oh, yeah! In the summer, we'll make sandwiches with bean spread, juicy tomatoes, and onions.

Love hummus. Mmmm. And diet, of course, affects so much of your...aura. We've been eating TONS of eggs lately. Yep, we've got a problem here. :)

Since we're sharing: crab quesadillas, mexican rice with corn, and refritos here, tonight!
And, Michelle: ain't that the great thing about leftovers? You don't feel nearly as much that you're wasting food if it "goes wrong" 8^)
BTW, my recipe for "The World's Worst Tasting Dish," available on request. But you don't want it...trust me!

Oh, I love hummus! Wish I was there. I think I will get some or maybe even make some.

You know, I read the previous gas post a few times and wanted to respond... but what can you say about this situation! Wow.

Holy cow - I didn't mean to turn this into a fart blog! (Hehehe)
But seriously, the point of the earlier post is how the supervisors are too squeamish to talk to their employees. If it were me, I'd want to know. I mean, y'know, be gentle, but tell me. I'm thinking now about the conversation I had with my CEO late yesterday. Later, when I was in the ladies' room, I noticed that I had something stuck in my teeth. A quick mental check on what I had eaten and when, confirmed that the foodstuff in question must have been lodged for a couple of hours. Certainly it was there during the talk with the CEO. She is pretty open and frank with me about many things. I just wish she had said something like "You just have a little something right there." I'm of the school that you tell people about things they can do something about (food caught in the teeth, a piece of lint on the shoulder), but hold your counsel when it comes to things beyond their control or when they aren't able to do anything about it at the moment. For instance, don't tell someone they look dead tired, or their clothes are poorly chosen, just seconds before they're to make a major presentation.

Well, I guess it is going to be enchilada's and cheesy Quesadillas for dinner here. Yummy
